A tribute to Czar, our own Salty Dog
To our friends, neighbors, and other dog lovers, Czar was our friend, and my pseudo-baby, for 12 years. You may have met Czar, or just seen him snoozing alongside the boat, while passing through La Parguera, either on your journey North or South. A purebred Collie, his disposition was the sweetest we have encountered, on either two legs or four. Although he hated the water, he adapted to life on Ruff Life with much more grace than I did. Pleasant towards every living thing (except bees, which tortured him vocally more than physically), he passed away July 11, 2008, just shy of his 13th birthday.
The Captain and I will miss him terribly.

Czar has appeared on TV and in newspapers on several occasions (above). He was there when we opened our gallery many years ago (left).

On the road, again
Christmas on the boat was always fun. I made Czar his own stocking (left), which we'd fill with gourmet treats.
Czar made a footprint ornament for Ken one Christmas. He was so proud.
We know you'll miss him, too.
